Welcome to FareQueen. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the FareQueen website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by FareQueen ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

2. Account Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Description of Service

FareQueen is a meal planning and grocery savings platform that generates personalized meal plans based on local grocery store promotions, your dietary preferences, household size, and budget. The Service includes features such as:

• Personalized meal plan generation
• Automated grocery list creation
• Local store sale tracking
• Household collaborative meal voting (consensus feature)
• Recipe management and favorites
• SMS and email notifications for meal planning activities

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable fees as described at the time of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Refunds are provided in accordance with our refund policy.

We reserve the right to change subscription fees upon reasonable notice. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

5. Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period for new users. At the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan unless you cancel before the trial expires. We will notify you before the trial ends.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Transmit any malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its related systems
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose not expressly permitted by us
• Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Service without authorization
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, recipes, meal plans, and software — are the exclusive property of FareQueen or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on the Service without our prior written consent.

8. User Content

You may submit content to the Service, such as recipe notes, meal preferences, and household information ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content but grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and process your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.

9. Household Sharing

The Service allows you to create and participate in households with other users. By joining a household, you acknowledge that certain information (such as your name, meal preferences, and voting activity) will be visible to other household members. You are responsible for any content or activity you contribute within a household.

10. SMS and Email Communications

By providing your phone number or email address and opting in to notifications, you consent to receive messages related to the Service, including consensus voting invitations and meal plan notifications. 11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Meal plans, recipes, and nutritional information provided by the Service are for informational purposes only and should not be considered medical or nutritional advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider regarding dietary needs, allergies, or health conditions.

Grocery prices, promotions, and availability displayed in the Service are sourced from third-party retailers and may not always be accurate or current. We are not responsible for discrepancies between displayed prices and actual in-store prices.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FareQueen and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, use, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service.

In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the liability.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FareQueen and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas.

16. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
